Before you start, you will need around £900 to £1,200 for the initial payment, income from work, and three months of bank statements. If any of those are not possible at the moment, we will not be able to help, and we would rather you knew before filling anything in.

Picking one here does not commit you to it. It tells us the sort of car and the sort of payment you have in mind, and you can change your mind at any point before anything is signed. Stock changes every week, so if the one you choose has gone by the time we come back to you, we will tell you what else is about.

This is the whole list. The lender buys practical, everyday cars and keeps them in stock, so there is no way to order something different, even if you are happy to pay more for it.

This helps more than you would think. The lender is looking for people who have had problems and are dealing with them, not people with perfect credit files. If you have CCJs, defaults, an IVA or a past bankruptcy, tell us what happened, whether there is a payment plan in place, and how it is going now. Being upfront works in your favour.

Full statements, every page, downloaded as PDFs from your banking app. We need the account your income is paid into. Please do not send screenshots of your balance or a list of recent transactions, because those do not show enough.

Copy of your driving licence

Photos need to be JPG, PNG or PDF. iPhone users, if the upload will not go through, take a screenshot of the photo and upload the screenshot instead.

These are stored securely and only seen by the person who assesses your application.
